Hey guys, I want to talk about laying out your workout outfits or if you like ‘outfit prep’. This isn’t 100% necessary, just because you didn’t lay out your outfit last night, doesn’t mean you can’t get up and go to the gym this morning, BUT here are a list of reasons, why I would suggest it!

  1. My favourite reason, it means you can sleep a little longer! It may only be 5 minutes, but when I wake up at 4.30am in the morning 5 minutes is like 1 hour! I would give anything for those few minutes shut eye. Laying out your outfit means you don’t need to go through the struggle and time of picking/finding/putting together your outfit in the morning! You simply wake up put on your gear and go!
  2. You’re less likely to forget anything! One of my pet hates is forgetting a piece of workout gear! I hate arriving at the gym/workout place of choice and realising I’ve left my heart rate monitor at home and can’t check my heart rate and calories, or my phone arm band and I have to carry my phone and fear dropping it, my headphones and I have to tackle a cardio session with no music, and worst of all the little tag that lets me into the gym which means a trip to home and back, which is a waste of time! If you’ve got everything laid out, you’re less likely to forget anything compared to when you are waking up in early hours in the morning or rushing around after work.
  3. It’s fun & insta-worthy! Putting your outfit together is a great excuse for an instagram shot! It looks pretty, and also in my opinion makes you excited to workout! I love love wearing beautiful workout gear, and even better the fitter you get, the better it looks on you!
  4. You’re more likely to workout! Just think if you have to work tomorrow and therefore you’re getting up early for a workout before hand, and you have your workout gear set out ready to go, uniform ironed and ready, lunch and snacks all ready to go in the fridge, you are going to feel much more motivated and in routine when you wake up, than if you leave it until last minute! I looove waking up and realising everything is already organised for the day! It makes me feel prepared which is definitely motivating!

Hopefully these few reasons are enough to make you want to give it a go! Set a goal and try and do it for just 2 weeks straight! 2 weeks in your life is nothing to try something, that is only 3% of the year you have to lay out your clothes. After 2 weeks if you don’t want to do it any more then fine, maybe it isn’t for you. But after 2 weeks this should be starting to form a habit! Give it a go and let me know what you think!
