For those of you that are iced coffee lovers like me, here is a refreshing, delicious & healthy replacement! Not to mention you can alter it to the strength that you enjoy!

Ingredients: 

  • Coffee of choice
  • Water
  • Milk of choice

Method:

  1. First you will make coffee as per usual whether that be instant coffee with some boiling water, or grinding fresh beans etc. This is when you make it the strength you would like – you have to make it slightly stronger than usual.
  2. Pour coffee into an ice cube tray – I used a love heart shaped one. Then place in the freezer & freeze.
  3. Once the ice cubes are frozen you simply add as many as you please to a glass of milk of choice. I like to use Light/Skim/Low fat milk.

 

When using either the milk i have suggested, or milks such as almond, soy, rice etc. it can cut the calories down to less than half of what you would usually consume from your usual supermarket bought iced coffees, as well as being better for your body as there are so many less preservatives and additives! If you don’t like coffee, maybe try putting a little cacao or cocoa with some hot water, or both for an iced mocha, and making some ice cubes with that! Enjoy lovelies. xxx
